Auto Sports
Soon after the invention of the car the first car races were held in 1887 at Paris. Auto sports have always had great interest and following of audiences around the world. The international governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, was founded in 1904. The major championships have their own governing bodies: International: Formula 1, A1 Grand Prix and World Rally Championship, North America: CART, IRL and NASCAR.
