Bandy is a team sport that is played on an ice floor of around 100x60m. Instead of a puck (like in Ice Hockey) it is played with a ball, and a team consists of 11 players. The game originated in the 18th century in England where a game in 1790 of Bury Bandy Club is documented. The first international game was played in 1891 between English and Dutch Club teams. The Federation of International Bandy was founded in 1955.
